    Description

    Model 202V In-Line Throttle Control
This is a Single cylinder control for most applications.  It will allow staging with your foot on the floor or down track throttle management for index racing. It has a limiter rod with locking collars to set your high idle for staging or your down track RPM's for ET control. It features 3/4" diameter air cylinders 45 pounds force at 120 psi.   Cylinder stroke is 2".  The cylinder is custom made in the USA and the Solenoid is a value brand made in china.   The 3 way valve has a needle valve to control closing rate.  All hardware is either Aluminum or Stainless and all of the non standard parts are CNC machined in my shop.  This control comes complete with the Control, Tubing, Solenoid(s) and installation hardware.  See photo's. See table below for more info.
How to Choose a Throttle Control
With a tape measure, measure the total travel of the linkage attachment from Idle to WOT (wide open throttle).  Your throttle control cylinder stroke must be equal or greater than this value.
Determine the thread size for your linkage attachment.  Standard is 10-32 UNF thread for a Morse style cable or 1/4-28 UNF thread for for a throttle rod.  Unless otherwise requested, I ship  10-32
Use a fish scale and measure the force require to hold the throttle at WOT.  If its over 40 lbs, consider using a control with a 7/8" cylinder.
Especially for door cars, measure the length of your throttle rod to verify you have sufficient room to install the throttle control.  the "Overall Length" in the table below is measured from the centerline of the ball stud to the rear of the cable/rod adapter.
I offer two brands of solenoid valves.  The premium valves are manufactured by the ARO division of Ingersol Rand and are the gold standard for this type of valve.  The price of these valves has nearly doubled in the last 5 years and I have searched the world for suitable substitutes and secured sources for a value brand manufactured in China that meets all of the technical requirements.  I have run these valves on my dragster for the past 5 years with no issues.  Every Throttle control I sell is run on my test bench for leaks and functionality before I ship.
The Model 100 is my least favorite design as it requires disconnection of the co2 line and the ball stud to change the stroke and is very difficult to set up with both a high idle for staging and WOT at full closed on the cylinder.
Single cylinder designs (Model 100, 200 and 400) can be used either for "Starting Line Enhancer" (SLE) or Down track ET control. And only with both with some restrictions.  See your delay box instructions for more info.
Controls with a dual acting cylinder (Model 300 and 400) are best suited for down track ET control as the control is powered in both direction allowing for more precise timing and better repeatability.
Controls with a limiter rod (Models 200, 300, 400 and 500) can be used for staging at idle with your  foot on the floor.  The Model 400 is overkill if you want SLE only.
I use a Model 500 on my dragster for SLE and to control wheel spin.  See the Model 500 installation instructions for more info.
Installation instructions are found in one of the pictures in for each listing.
